Manitoulin North Shore Victim Services

Provides immediate, on-site support and assistance to victims of crime, tragedy or disaster and:

  • facilitates the connection between the victim and appropriate community support services
  • provides follow-up contact to ensure victim has received and will continue to receive assistance if required
  • provides public education as to the effects of crime and tragedy and the existence of resources within the community

This community- based program provides individualized counselling and treatment services to persons 16 years and over who have mental health concerns and for individuals diagnosed with a mental illness. The program serves residents of Manitoulin Island.  The main office is located in Little Current with outreach offices in Mindemoya, Gore Bay and Silverwater.  Outreach to other communities/sites is available dependent on needs. Services are provided in the office and in the community.
